"Some Walls Are Made of Bricks" is a project that sees your social media as your home. Hang artwork within your Instagram home just as you would your physical one. Each work is available in a limited series of 10 for $3USD.
By focusing on how digital and physical spaces are similar rather than different, we can combat binary based language like “the real world” and begin to ask questions about the nuances of our total landscape. Rather than using catch-all ideas (i.e. “social media,” or “the internet,”) as scapegoats, we should begin to look at how specific protocols, policies, ideas of data ownership, and threats that manifest online, can be approached with the same level of seriousness that we already offer problems of a physical nature.
How To Buy:
To purchase, DM me on Instagram (@benjamincookart) with the piece you want to buy and an email address for me to send you the file. If the work is still available, I will send you a link to Paypal, or Venmo for you to make the payment.
What You Will Receive:
I will send you a high res file of the painting which has been digitally hand-signed, numbered and include your Instagram handle below the painting.
Your Instagram handle will be permanently recorded on this site and publicly viewable to ensure authenticity, and proof of participation in the project.
